We also understand the importance of counseling our clients on recent statutory and regulatory changes that affect their companies and how they handle claims in New York State.
An understanding of jurisdictional laws and issues allows our clients to effectively operate and do business in New York State. However, if an accident happens, Watson Bennett’s Emergency Rapid Response Team will be there. Our team consists of a partner, an accident reconstruction team and a field adjuster. Being at a scene immediately following an accident is crucial for the preservation of evidence.
Joel Schechter along with Pauline Will run the firms Trucking & Transportation Law Practice Group. They are experienced trial attorneys who represent national companies in the litigation of trucking matters. Mr. Schechter is very active in the Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA) currently serving on the Board of Directors and as treasurer. He is the Chair of TIDA’s Canadian Relations Committee and has a very active role in presenting seminars relating to cross-border issues. Mr. Schechter is also a member of the Ontario Trucking Association and the Canadian Transportation Lawyers Association. Ms. Will is a member of the Defense Research Institute’s (DRI) Trucking Law Committee. She is also a member of TIDA and Women in Trucking.
