Joel A. McMahon
Joel A. McMahon has developed a practice of substantial depth and breadth, encompassing real estate, finance, business, commercial litigation and environmental law. His real estate development practice has included many of the projects which have propelled Western New York into its most active construction phase in decades.
Mr. McMahon's extensive transactional experience includes numerous development projects; business acquisitions and divestitures; and complex financings utilizing traditional lending institutions, industrial development agencies, private equity, and special state and municipal funding sources. He has negotiated a variety of transactions for developers, businesses and financial institutions from acquisition to completion. His breadth of experience is especially valuable in providing legal counsel which integrates the litigation, land use, environmental and labor and employment concerns of his clients.
Mr. McMahon is General Counsel to the Lumber City Development Corporation, which is the development arm of the City of North Tonawanda, and is enthusiastically involved in the continuing economic development of Western New York.
